I'm crossing my fingers that I get to try all the recipes from your top 10 zucchini recipes post (+!) last year.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-79987849075000184962015-06-08T17:13:17.643-07:002015-06-08T17:13:17.643-07:00Thanks also Mark. Thanks also Mark.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-24755810485890818822015-06-08T17:12:21.409-07:002015-06-08T17:12:21.409-07:00Thanks Lou!Thanks Lou!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-60486233052128348002015-06-08T17:11:47.522-07:002015-06-08T17:11:47.522-07:00I have a Cesto type that was given to me as a mark...I have a Cesto type that was given to me as a market basket but I don't use it because the handles cut into my hands when I load it up. I never thought of using it in the garden, but that's a great idea.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-83512201890464127952015-06-08T17:08:34.969-07:002015-06-08T17:08:34.969-07:00I think you are on the right track about cold snap...I think you are on the right track about cold snaps making the onions bolt, we've not really had cold snaps, but we have had a lot of fluctuations in temperatures and I'm guessing that Candy and Superstar are not very tolerant of that. Next year I'll stick with Red Candy Apple and experiment with some other sweet onions.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-44498469391326342872015-06-08T13:55:28.641-07:002015-06-08T13:55:28.641-07:00Tubtrug fan too - didn't know that was what th...Tubtrug fan too - didn't know that was what they were called (so different brand, I guess). What a coincidence that you referenced your preserved peppers link in today's post as I had just gone through your site earlier this morning trying to find it. I did manage to find it earlier, and now have it bookmarked in the hopes that I have an abundance for which to use that method!!Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10354350096358468967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-78021528013094671642015-06-08T12:36:55.657-07:002015-06-08T12:36:55.657-07:00I have grown a lettuce variety called "Cocard...I have grown a lettuce variety called "Cocarde" which looks very similar to your Italienischer one, except that it has a red tinge in the tips and edges of the leaves. You know that I agree with Lou (above) on the presentation aspects of our hobby! It grows upright, and has crunchy but tender oakleaf leaves. Yours are beauties. I'll have to give that zucchini pie recipe a try once our squash start rolling in. We do a lot of similar things here, with or without crust, with whatever the garden is giving us at the moment. They are biennials, you would think a cold winter or cold snaps would be more likely to cause them to bolt.David Veltenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710293718143454000noreply@blogger.com
