And Mark's idea of smoking some was interesting. Another reason to buy that smoker I had my eye on.David Veltenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710293718143454000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-5238275094543180552014-10-06T17:40:18.891-07:002014-10-06T17:40:18.891-07:00Your peppers are always so wonderful looking. It looks like you have about 10-12 pounds of peppers just this week but you've had so many on previous posts. What ever do you do with them all!? I rarely get more than a handful.Susiehttp://coldhandswarmearth.blogspot.ca/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-22594929031970895682014-10-06T14:00:36.250-07:002014-10-06T14:00:36.250-07:00Years ago I smoked some jalapeños to make chipotle...Years ago I smoked some jalapeños to make chipotle peppers, but haven't tried again. That's a great idea to make home made Pimenton, and I actually have seeds for the peppers that they use in Spain. I've got such a surplus of peppers this year that I think I should try smoking some of them. Thanks for the inspiration!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-56215453342853737352014-10-06T13:49:01.955-07:002014-10-06T13:49:01.955-07:00The Gold Rush beans are truly beautiful, and I bet...The Gold Rush beans are truly beautiful, and I bet tasty too. I love a fresh bean like that, cooked up simply so you can really enjoy the taste of them. I used to grow several fresh 'shelly' type beans when I had a bigger garden spot. And I had to laugh when I read about the bags of peppers waited to be roasted. With me they are waiting on the dehydrator, which has been running quite a Dave @ HappyAcreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03441364543023807886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-60606883997275482062014-10-06T11:23:58.208-07:002014-10-06T11:23:58.208-07:00Wow, you certainly have a lot of peppers / chillis...Wow, you certainly have a lot of peppers / chillis! Just like the beans, they would be nice to look at, even if you never ate any of them. Do you smoke any of them (as opposed to roasting them)? I love the smoked paprika that the Spanish call "Pimenton" and last year I made something a little bit like it (though nowhere near enough of it) with some "Garnet" sweet peppers.Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-28114532644670944412014-10-06T09:57:33.099-07:002014-10-06T09:57:33.099-07:00I second Daphne's comment on the beans. And an awe inspiring pepper parade...they are all gorgeous and very artistically displayed, I might add.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-439775590468820468.post-32825529951929333252014-10-06T07:41:51.051-07:002014-10-06T07:41:51.051-07:00Those gold rush beans are so pretty.
