Mother Nature presented me with this beautiful display this morning.
I don't know if there is a name for such a display,
I'm thinking Fairy Pearls
When I got to the vegetable garden they were there as well.
Pearled bird netting.
And under the netting....
Another head of Romanesco Broccoli nearly ready to pick.
Those are beautiful photos, and fairy pearls seems very apt. They remind me of a beaded shawl or something. By the way, thankyou for starting to follow my main blog:-)

ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for the terrific comments. It was one of those magical moments that you get every so often in the garden. I stepped out the door and stopped dead in my tracks when I saw that cobweb. I literally ran to get my camera. And then the bird netting too! Ten minutes later it was all starting to fade as the sun glimpsed out and the breeze picked up.

ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. I'm somewhat arachnophobic, but the webs are fine. I think Piet Oudolf has some suggestions for plants that display spiderwebs well in Designing with Plants.
