Wow, Michelle! This blog is really something. I'm a gardener/farmer in Northern California in Sunset zone 17 and your descriptions and conscious observations have really inspired and helped me in trying caper bushes! I just got seeds from Franchi/Seeds of Italy. Enough to try all the different approaches for germination you recommended. I don't know how you manage to find the time to write this awesome blog but I truly thank you for it. What a great contribution to the gardening community! Astrid
That is so alien looking and beautiful! It's amazing how unique and beautiful things are when we take the time to look at them more closely.

It's beautiful - I also take it you don't pick them all as buds?
ReplyDeleteI stopped harvesting the buds a week or so ago. I want to save some seeds this year and perhaps preserve a few caper berries.
