    1. I stopped harvesting the buds a week or so ago. I want to save some seeds this year and perhaps preserve a few caper berries.

  5. Wow, Michelle! This blog is really something. I'm a gardener/farmer in Northern California in Sunset zone 17 and your descriptions and conscious observations have really inspired and helped me in trying caper bushes! I just got seeds from Franchi/Seeds of Italy. Enough to try all the different approaches for germination you recommended.
    I don't know how you manage to find the time to write this awesome blog but I truly thank you for it. What a great contribution to the gardening community!
